Fall 2019 Dash

HOW to APPLY

Read this page carefully, then follow the link at the bottom to open the application form.

Dash participants must commit to joining us at the Hatcher Graduate Library on October 14, 2019, 9am-4pm, and October 15, 2019 from 9am-2pm. Besides telling us your name and a project title, you will need to respond to three brief prompts (listed below). It's a Dash!, so be concise. Aim to respond to each prompt in one paragraph.

The application closes on Monday, September 16. Awardees will be notified by October 1.

Before you apply, you need to know: Your Dash application is the starting point for a conversation about what's possible. The hurdle you are hoping to overcome may still be relatively fuzzy at this stage. In fact, your Dash might be defined by concentrated experimentation. Or, maybe you already have a plan for overcoming your hurdle but need this time and our "coaching" to succeed.

Either way, apply!

Dash Application Questions

  • Description: What are you "stuck" on, and how is it situated in your broader research or approach to teaching?
  • Rationale: Which library services, resources, and specialists do you anticipate engaging with during the Dash?
  • Community Impact: To what extent will this Dash address the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in your work and/or in what ways will this Dash address challenges in your scholarly or instructional community.
